India lose lead and match

Pre-Olympic Qualifier
Qatar 3 (Al Khanfan – 14th; Hasan Al Haydos – 54th; Elneel – 68th).
beat
India 1 (Jeje Lalpeklua –7th).

Qatar survived some anxious moments to beat India 3-1 in the Pre-Olympic Qualifier at the Al Sadd Stadium in Doha.

The band of the local Doha crowd which had taken over the Al Sadd more than an hour prior to the kick-off went off all of a sudden in the 7th minute. Despite the floodlights glowing, there seemed darkness all around; or rather disbelief. India took the lead.

What was supposed to be a harmless throw-in down the left, stung Qatar. The power and the velocity of Raju Gaikwad’s long throw left the Qatar defence guessing; and off the melle, Jeje Lalpeklua tapped home.

The NRIs went berserk; the locals looked up to the giant screen only to see the Indian boys celebrating.

Three minutes later, goalkeeper Laxmikant Kattimani saved a penalty – Qatar’s Captain and best player Hasan al Haydos failing to beat Kattimani from the spot after he was brought down on the edge of the box. An upset stayed on the cards.

But Qatar pulled it back – Al Khalfan slotting it home after he anticipated a through pass that split second ahead of an advancing Kattimani.
The Indians were pushed to defence for the rest of the first half. Haydos, desperate to make amends for his missed penalty was omnipresent but the Indians held fort as the score read 1-1 at the interval.

Changing over, Haydos was eventually rewarded after he ran diagonally anf finished it off with a long-ranger which beat a diving Kattimani in the 54th minute to make it 2-1 for Qatar.

The flurry of attacks resulted in the third goal for Qatar in the 68th minute – substitute Mohamed Elneel tapping it in from close.
The Indians pressed hard for the second away-goal but Jeje and Sabeeth didn’t get much support from an off-colour Lalrindika and Jewel Raja.

The second-leg is slated for Pune’s Balewadi Sports Complex on June 23.

India: Goalkeeper: Laxmikant Kattimani.
Defenders: Abhishek Das, Arnab Mondal, Raju Gaikwad (Captain), Gurjinder Kumar.
Midfielders: Lalrindika, Jewel Raja, Shilton D'Silva (Zakeer Mundampara – 72nd), Jibon Singh.
Forwards: Jeje Lalpeklua, CS Sabeeth.

TRIBUTE TO A SAINT "MF HUSSAIN"

MF Hussain, one of the greatest artists with brush and paint the World have ever produced, is no more. The tribute to him would be "A Saint is no more albeit physically". A Saint! It may sound awkward for some. But what or who is a Saint? Go through any dictionary and the definitions come out would be something like this : A person sanctified; a holy or Godly person; one eminent for piety and virtue; or a person blessed with something Godly. Going by these definitions one can easily say that MF Hussain was indeed a holy or Godly human being. His art, whatever he created, cannot be a work of any other painter. He may be criticized for some of his work in which Hindu and Goddesses are depicted in somewhat "unacceptable" manner. And because of this he was forced to live in exile, far away from the land which he loved like his mother.
Its very easy to bring him under scrutiny by any tom-dick-harry who does not know even the 'P' of painting.  In the 1990s some of MF Hussain's works became controversial because of their portrayal of Hindu deities in the nude or in an allegedly sexual manner. The paintings in question were created in 1970, but did not become an issue until 1996, when they were printed in Vichar Mimansa, a Hindi monthly magazine, which published them in an article headlined "M.F. Husain: A Painter or Butcher". In response, eight criminal complaints were filed against Husain. In 2004,even after the Delhi High Court's dismissal of the complaints Hussain was always under attack by some fanatics. His house was attacked by groups like Bajrang Dal and art works were vandalized.Even Shiv Sena joined hands and supported the attacks. All these anti-sentiments led to Hussain's decision to leave his motherland.
The people or the groups, who protested against him and even threaten him for dire consequences, know only a little of Hussain's paintings. They only know that in some of his paintings the Hindu Gods and Goddesses have been portrayed nude. But they do not know that it is this Hussain who went to Varanasi for 11 years continuously to listen to Balmiki Ramayan Katha, to experience the Charm of the Holy Ganga, to experience the sanctity of being at the shore of the Ganga maiya. He always portrayed his motherland as "Bharat Mata".Then how come he became a symbol of anti-Hinduism. Its wrongful portrayal of a Saint, an extra-ordinary human being who had larger than life aura. He was,in fact is a Saint who had Godly influence in his work. What he did was not a work of a simple painter. He was a class apart and the way he used his brush, only God can do that. He was a messenger of God, a huge portrait in which there was no color of hate in fact he was a Saint and would always be remembered as a Saint-a larger than life portrait.

'BBUDDAH - HOGA TERRA BAAP' PROMO

CRICKET IN OLYMPICS !

Jacques Rogge, president of the International Olympic Committee, is keen to see cricket becoming an Olympic sport in the future. Rogge has indicated that if cricket were to feature in the Olympic games, it would have to be through its shorter versions.
Now the question is if Cricket is included in the Olympic how long the event would continue. Even if the shorter version is included, as Mr. Rogge has advocated, and a dozen team take part and play each other once then it may take more than two weeks to complete the event. And then the questions would be raised why only 12 countries? Why not two dozens team take part. Cricket is highly competitive and professional sport and it may be possible that many country would ask to give them a chance to show their skills. And even the suggestions would be there to give them a level playing field. It can not be possible to play a team of fully professionals on hand and a bunch of amateurs on the other.
But the questions apart its a good news for all the cricket supporters. Although The ICC has not yet decided to make an application to give cricket a go in the Olympic. ICC will decide on this at the end of June. Although Rogge has indicated that he would welcome an application. He has also said that it's an important, popular sport and very powerful on television. It's a sport with a great tradition where mostly you have a respect of the ethics.
Although a formal application to take part in the Olympics does not appear to be on the ICC's horizon at present. The matter is not on the agenda for the Board meeting in June. But it seems that Rogge has succumbed to the popularity of the cricket among a huge population of the world specially in the sub-continent. The 69 year old Rogge is from Belgium where rugby is a popular sport, Rogge himself played for Belgium Rugby Union. But the Olympic boss has revealed that he was a huge fan of cricket and that he follows the sport whenever he can.Rogge developed an interest in the game when he was introduced to French cricket by relatives in Cornwall, whom he visited in his formative years. He has asserted that he never played the game but he knows the rules and love the game. H has watched Sachin Tendulkar, Kevin Pietersen, Shane Warne, Ian Botham and some other popular cricketers.
However Rogge has some concern as well. His biggest concern is the menace of illegal bookmakers. He knows the sport has come under the match-fixing spectre, and Rogge believes it can have a more damaging impact on sport than doping scandals.Right now its not sure when the cricket would be incorporated in the Olympic genre. The biggest supporter of the Cricket in the Olympic forum Mr.Rogge will step down after the 2012 games in London. But one thing is for sure he has ignited a debate which might ultimately lead Cricket into Olympic.

IS Your System IPV6 Compatible?

Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) is a version of the Internet Protocol (IP) that is designed to succeed Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4). The Internet operates by transferring data in small packets that are independently routed across networks as specified by an international communications protocol known as the Internet Protocol. Each data packet contains two numeric addresses that are the packet's origin and destination devices. Since 1981, IPv4 has been the publicly used version of the Internet Protocol, and it is currently the foundation for most Internet communications. The growth of the Internet has mandated a need for more addresses than is possible with IPv4. IPv6 allows for vastly more addresses.
IPv6 was developed by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) to deal with the long-anticipated IPv4 address exhaustion, and is described in Internet standard document RFC 2460, published in December 1998. Like IPv4, IPv6 is an Internet Layer protocol for packet-switched internetworking and provides end-to-end datagram transmission across multiple IP networks. While IPv4 allows 32 bits for an Internet Protocol address, and can therefore support 232(4,294,967,296) addresses, IPv6 uses 128-bit addresses, so the new address space supports 2128 (approximately 340 undecillion or 3.4×1038) addresses. This expansion allows for many more devices and users on the internet as well as extra flexibility in allocating addresses and efficiency for routing traffic. It also eliminates the primary need for network address translation (NAT), which gained widespread deployment as an effort to alleviate IPv4 address exhaustion.
IPv6 implements additional features not present in IPv4. It simplifies aspects of address assignment (stateless address autoconfiguration), network renumbering and router announcements when changing Internet connectivity providers. The IPv6 subnet size has been standardized by fixing the size of the host identifier portion of an address to 64 bits to facilitate an automatic mechanism for forming the host identifier from link layer media addressing information (MAC address). Network security is also integrated into the design of the IPv6 architecture, and the IPv6 specification mandates support for IPsec as a fundamental interoperability requirement.
The last top level (/8) block of free IPv4 addresses was assigned in February 2011, although many free addresses still remain in most assigned blocks and will continue to be allocated for some three to six months from then. After that, only 1024 addresses are made available from APNIC for each LIR. While IPv6 is supported on all major operating systems in use in commercial, business, and home consumer environments,IPv6 does not implement interoperability features with IPv4, and creates essentially a parallel, independent network. Exchanging traffic between the two networks requires special translator gateways, but modern computer operating systems implement dual-protocol software for transparent access to both networks using 'tunneling'. In December 2010, despite marking its 12th anniversary as a Standards Track protocol, IPv6 was only in its infancy in terms of general worldwide deployment. A 2008 study byGoogle Inc. indicated that penetration was still less than one percent of Internet-enabled hosts in any country at that time.
Compatibility with IPv6 networking is mainly a software or firmware issue. However, much of the older hardware that could in principle be upgraded is likely to be replaced instead. The American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN) suggests that all Internet servers be prepared to serve IPv6-only clients by January 2012.Most personal computers running recent operating system versions are IPv6-ready. Most applications with network capabilities are not ready but could be upgraded with support from the developers. Java applications adhering to Java 1.4 (February 2002) standards have support for IPv6.
World IPv6 Day is an event sponsored and organized by the Internet Society and several large content providers to test public IPv6 deployment. It will start at 00:00 UTC on June 8, 2011 and end 23:59 the same day.The main motivation for the event is to evaluate the real world effects of the IPv6 brokenness seen by various synthetic tests. On World IPv6 Day, major web companies and other industry players will come together to enable IPv6 on their main websites for 24 hours. The goal is to motivate organizations across the industry – Internet service providers, hardware makers, operating system vendors and web companies – to prepare their services for IPv6 to ensure a successful transition as IPv4 address space runs out.
The test will primarily consist of websites publishing AAAA records, allowing IPv6 capable hosts to connect using IPv6. Although Internet service providers (ISP) are encouraged to participate, they are not expected to deploy anything on that day, just increase their readiness to handle support issues.
Many companies and organisations have committed to participating in the experiment, including the largest search engines, social networking websites and content distribution networks.
